DEANES GROUP NEWS MAY2011
The entire province is rooting for our head chef at Deanes at Queens Chris Fearon who is representing Northern Ireland in the UK heat of Great British Menu. Chris made short work of his local competition when he appeared on the Northern Ireland heat of the programme on BBC2 a few weeks ago and now goes on to compete against the other regional winners for his place cooking at the ultimate street party in London in June. We’ll all be glued to our screens when Chris next appears on Great British Menu on BBC2 at 6.30pm starting Monday May 30th. Our money’s definitely on Chris who wowed the judges with his awesome cooking and creativity giving him a sensational clean sweep in the regional competition. Keep watching this space!!
And still at Deanes at Queens bookings are already flooding in from students looking forward to graduation! Of course you can celebrate your graduation not just at Deanes at Queens but also at Deanes Deli in Bedford Street, Deanes in Howard Street and Deanes Seafood bar
Deanes Deli continues to be a magnet for celebs . . . . Spotted there this month, hunky actor Brendan Frazer, who’s currently filming a Terry George movie here. Celeb Chef Dylan McGrath who is taking the restaurant scene in Dublin by storm and in Deanes Seafood Bar on Howard Street the ubiquitous BBC presenter Wendy Austin most recently heard reporting from the Royal Wedding! And spotted running in the Belfast Marathon none other than the man himself Michael Deane who romped home in a very respectable 4 hours and 16 minute!
