CHRIS FEARON Head Chef at DEANES AT QUEENS restaurant is the regional winner for NORTHERN IRELAND in BBC Two’s popular series Great British Menu.

The challenge: to cook for The Olympic Feast

Watch out for CHRIS FEARON HEAD CHEF from DEANES AT QUEENS RESTAURANT returning to the competition to go head to head with the other regional winners in the Great British Menu national finals transmitting from Monday 4th June at 8pm on BBC TWO.

This year’s challenge is to create a ground-breaking menu fit for Olympic heroes; celebrating the arrival of the London 2012 Olympics and demonstrating the extraordinary Olympian heights Britain’s talented chefs can reach.

CHRIS FEARON is one of eight of the country’s finest chefs to reach the national finals and compete for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a world-beating four course menu at a prestigious dinner at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. British Olympic legend Sir Steve Redgrave will host the gala event with a glittering guest list of British sporting greats.

For CHRIS FEARON to make it to the Olympic Feast they’ll need to fight off stiff competition and persuade the Great British Menu judges, Oliver Peyton, Prue Leith and Matthew Fort that their dishes are truly Olympian.

CHRIS’s Menu for the competition is:

Starter – Clay Pigeon Shoot

Fish Course – Skate Rings

Main Course – Spring Jump Lamb

Dessert  - The Torch

Catch-up with Great British Menu for seven days after broadcast on BBC iPlayer www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer
